'(10 Mar 2018) PFDC SUNSILK FASHION WEEK KICKS OFF IN LAHORE, PAKISTAN At the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week in Lahore, Pakistan, there is no stopping the amount of talent and creativity showcased. Now in its 11th edition, it takes place from March 9th to 11th, Day One of PSFW showcased the work of Arjumand Bano, Sania Maskatiya and Hira Ali. Pakistan Fashion Design Council holds the crown of eight successful weeks of prêt-à-porter and five of bridal fashion weeks. The Council\'s commitment toward the progression of fashion industry and retail businesses is getting more attention. The show was structured between two major displays showcasing Prét /luxury designers and well-known brands. Western and traditional evening wear dominated runway as some of the biggest designers of Pakistan\'s fashion industry unveiled their latest collections. Renown designer Sania Maskatiya was among the stars of the opening day with her collection, titled \"Colour Dash.\" \"I am showcasing my new luxury Prét collection title \'Colour Dash.\' It\'s got a lot of vibrant colors and lot of black and white. It\'s got signature cuts and I look forward to showcasing tonight,\" Sania said. \"Colour Dash\" will open the finale for PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2018. The showcase will be complemented by jewelry from Allure by MHT, with footwear from Charles & Keith and music by Dj Shah Munir. This showcase comes on the heels of Sania Maskatiya\'s Lux Style Award win for the Achievement in Fashion Design – Luxury Prét last month. This Spring/Summer, eclectic color combinations become the playfulness of form against the monochrome of Sania Maskatiya\'s Luxury Prét Collection, Colour Dash. This juxtaposition weaves poetry within the interplay of colors. The fashion house brings their signature asymmetrical cut-lines and drapes composed of a myriad of colors in patchwork silhouettes with bold craftsmanship and class that characterizes the Sania Maskatiya woman. Upcoming designer Hira Ali also showcased her luxury Prét collection \"Woman Is Future\" at the PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2018. \"Our collection was called \'Woman is Future.\' We wanted to be the catalyst for woman in Pakistan and give them the little push that they need to achieve all the things that they want do and work at places do the things they need. Give them confidence. They shouldn\'t be anything holding them back. So, my collection is inspired by that. We had the woman\'s march just yesterday in Lahore and we want to replicate same on the runway,\" Hira Ali said. \"Woman Is Future\" invites a selection of fabrics like Cottons, crepe, organza net. The embroidery comprises of experimental techniques using crystals and nets as well as silk threads and various beads and crystals. The color palette jumps from white reds to rose dust to ice blue and beige. The looks were curated by hair & makeup artist Zara Gul and styling by renowned stylist Anaum Hammad, featuring leading model Zara Peerzada. Videographer Naveed Amjand lent his expertise to the video-shoot to capture the groundbreaking \"Woman Is Future\" collection. \"PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week is actually a very prestigious show,\" said fashion director and model Rehan Baber. \"It happens twice a year. In winter we have a bridal week, but in spring we have Prét week. Pakistani fashion industry, in fact, a booming industry.
