'Ali Xeeshan, more, show at Pakistan Fashion Week'

'(14 Apr 2014) POLITICIAN HOPES PAKISTAN FASHION WEEK WILL HELP GIVE THE COUNTRY A \'LIBERAL\' IMAGE  The 7th edition of Pakistan Fashion Week came to an end in Lahore, Sunday night. A highlight of the event, which kicked off on Thursday, was designer Ali Xeeshan\'s collection. His collection was the last to be unveiled and speaking before his show, Xeeshan said he was \"super excited.\" \"I am doing the grand finally tonight. I am super excited, my collection is called Trouble. It is a stylish trouble and the inspiration is from the golden age of Pakistan cinema. I have a variation of cuts, I have tired new silhouettes, new cuts, new embellishments and new surfaces and I hope you guys will love it and the show has gone larger then life, with the props, with the styling with the lights, with the choreography. I am sure you guys will like it. I have put my heart and soul in this,\" he said. The designers who showcased at Pakistan Fashion Week were diverse. In addition to Xeeshan, others to show off their new collections were Sania Maskatiya and Rizwan Beyg. The glitzy event wasn\'t just for fashionistas. Aitzaz Ahsan, the leader of the Pakistan\'s People Party, also attended. He said holding a fashion week event in Pakistan is important for the country\'s image as a whole. Pakistan needs to establish and disseminate its real image, soft image, the image of a progressive, liberal, open society with the freedoms of men and woman, with the democracy and choices of men and woman. I think the fashion week is an important event in establishing this image of Pakistan,\" said Ahsan. Pakistan Fashion week ran from the 10-13th April.
