'Today we are going to talk about the modern technologies. We are used to processing the neckinile with the welt, but now we can see a lot of items, where the neckline is processed with a very thin bias binding. In our fashion house we usually process the necklines of the light clothes made of cotton, cambric, and also lacy items with the hand-made chiffon bias bindings. We’ll show you how to do it. You can’t change the degree, make the line less slant – you’ll get a beautiful bias binding only if you cut it at the angle of 45 degrees. We’ll show you the best way to cut a 3-cm stripe. Don’t draw or write anything – you’ll damage the fabric. Do it just the way we show you. When you learn how to process the necklines and the arm-holes, you won’t have any problems making summer clothes. We’ll prepare the neckline, then the binding and after that we’ll go to a sewing machine. Try making a wider stripe – 3,5-4 cm. You can always cut the extra pieces later. Our tailors make very thin bindings. Put the bias binding on the right side of the item and stitch it. Do not stretch it. The stitching should be not wider than 0,5 mm. Do not make wide stitches, otherwise it will look bad on the other side – 2-2,5 mm are the best. Just do everything the way Natalie shows, and you won’t have any problems. Do not stretch it and stitch in the very edge. Practice makes perfect, guys. If you stitch the bindings to the necklines and arm-holes, you’ll always look good. We are making a chiffon binding, but you can also use cambric or net, or even the same fabric you use for the item. It’s not hard actually. Be patient and try couple of times on the models. You can use it for any type of clothes – for the kids, adults, summer clothes, winter clothes, evening dresses and so on. Use thin fabric for the bindings – chiffon, cambric. We often make such bindings of the same fabrics we use for the item. I recommend you to use this way of processing. Natalie will show you the other way too. Use the needle and make very small stitches, taking just one thread from the basis. It shouldn\'t be seen from the front side. We are glad to show you such an interesting technique.
