'(14 Sep 2017) PAKISTAN\'S WINTER FASHION WEEK CLOSES Fashion Pakistan Week Winter Festive 2017 ended in spectacular fashion with Sana Safinaz doing a solo show on the final day of the three-day event in Karachi Thursday (14SEPT2017). Providing the ambience and environment, Sana Safinaz showcased a collection that blended traditional designs and motifs with Westernized cuts for the modern bride. \"It\'s called \'Roses and Rune.\' It\'s a beautiful, very light, ethereal collection, full of lovely, gauzy nets and pure organzas. And the embellishments are very beautiful this time; there is a lot of feathering, pure crystals, a lot of pearl work,\" said Sana Hashwani, who along with Safinaz Muneer form the duo behind the popular Sana Safinaz label. Another industry stalwart, Adnan Pardesy showcased his bridal collection inspired by architecture. \"The color palette was pastels, ivory and then we did black and gold. We have used different fabrics from organzas to velvets to chiffons. And all the work is basically, absolutely, purely hand embroidered and it is a very detail-oriented collection,\" Pardesy said. Popular designers including Maheen Khan, Tena Durrani, Nauman Arfeen and Saira Shakira were also among those showcasing their bridal and couture collections. \"I would say this was the big homecoming for Sana Safinaz. It was a spectacular show,\" commented fashion journalist Aamna Haider Isani. Speaking of Adnan Pardesy\'s collection, Isani said, \"Yes it\'s bridal, yes it will be predictable, but you tweak it a little bit, you play with it, you introduce something new, and he did.\" Celebrities and A-listers also showed up in large number to appreciate and support Pakistan\'s thriving fashion industry. Actor Sana Bucha also singled out Sana Safinaz for praise. She added that those who buy such outfits should also be realistic in their approach in order to get the best out of the clothes. \"For me, you know, style and fashion is something inborn. You can make me look fashionable if I am not…but, you know, your clothes can only do so much,\" she said. Bucha added that Pakistan\'s fashion industry has grown in leaps and bounds and the level of professionalism has increased exponentially to the benefit of all.
