'Fashion week continues in Isamabad, Pakistan'

'(11 Apr 2012) The second Islamabad Fashion Week (IFW) started in Islamabad on Tuesday (10 April 2012) with 18 designers and labels including University students from all over the country gathered under one roof to showcase their collections in the third-day event. In the world\'s of Pakistan\'s textile industry the name Lakhany is synonymous with fashion, quality, style, and creativity, the young Pakistani designers  Naeem Fazal & Tahseen, who showcased their LSM (Lakhany Silk Mills) collections, which according to them, are best suited for spring and summer. \"We are trying to introduce over fashion strap in this fashion industry and we have doing bridal  work and Inshallah (God willingly) plan to open our outlets soon,\" said designer Tahseen Muzzammil. One person attending was veteran Pakistani designer Atif Yahya, putting all his strengths and his love of fashion design to use, resulted in the start of a garment and lawn fabric manufacturing business with office set up in Pakistan and abroad. \"Basically we used lawn and chiffon, all were bright and light colours, we presented in modern way and have Sadia Lawn design collection. You have watched all colours were faboulus. In Islamabad it is first show. After this we have show in Lahore, Pakistan and India,\" Yahya said. IFW has provided the opportunity to young students designers from GIFT (Gunranwala Institute of Fashion Technology) who prove that they have beautiful dresses. The three-day Islamabad Fashion Week will showcase more veterans and also some new designers like university students, as the event is said to be the big fashion arena in the country.
