'(15 Mar 1997) Natural Sound Hermes, one of the leading French fashion houses, revealed its collection at French Fashion Week in Paris, Saturday. Designed by Claude Brouet she choose to focus on the subtle colours of the shadows teamed with soft, supple, practical clothes. Hermes, a label many women refuse to live without, unveiled its new collection in Paris, Saturday. The Autumn/Winter collection focused on the colours black, brown, dark grey, blue and violet, Dramatic long black coats made a strong statement, while dashes of violet colour gave some of the clothes extra intensity. Designer Claude Brouet, used the colour sparingly but to good effect within the collection. The models cool, calm and collected appearances on the catwalk belied the hive of activity back stage. In between warm up stretches models had their makeup carefully applied, some relaxing to a head massage. Claude Brouet\'s creations seemed to appeal to the critical and easily bored fashion audience. The designer came on stage to receive her applause, looking delighted by the response to her show, proving that Hermes is still at the cutting edge in this competitive business.
