'(18 Oct 1997) T/I: 10:43:11 There were no great suprises at the Hermes show during Paris fashion week on Saturday (18/10). Always chic, extremely wearable and rather casual, the Spring/Summer collection was classic Hermes. The main materials used were leather, suede, jersey, wool in soft cinnamon, tobacco and camel. With a touch of polite extravagance, the design house put a gloss on a range of one-piece swimsuits and bikinis in shiny copper, gold and silver to co-ordinate with silver boots. The show was marked by its refined classicism with subtle colours and quality fabrics.
