'Hello lovelies, I received two new pairs of 1950s vintage-inspired jeans from Lady K Loves. I usually don\'t wear blue jeans because I find them to be so uncomfortable, but these styles fit like a dream and are so comfortable. I thought it would be fun to discuss the history of denim in the 1950s and how it became an everyday staple in our wardrobe. Before the 1950s, denim was only worn by cowboys and farmers. Levis started in the 1800s during the California gold rush and didn\'t become popular until the 1950s. Hollywood was a significant influence on youth culture in the 1950s because of movies like Rebel Without a Cause and The Wild One. James Dean and Marlon Brando were both heart throbs during the 1950s and would be seen wearing denim in both of the films listed above. Young women in the 1950s would wear high waisted dark denim rolled up at the cuff. They would wear them with white bobby socks and black and white penny loafers. I love my jeans from Lady K Loves because of the high waist and stretch, and they hug all of my curves. Lady K Loves promotes a safe workplace for those who produce their clothes. They work with a selection of small family-run companies from around the world. Their denim is sourced from an environmentally responsible company. The factory uses sustainable dyes. The denim is then imported to the UK, where the garments are finished. Each pair of jeans is made with over 10 machines to be completed.
