'Fashion designer presents his 2014 collection of bulletproof clothing'

'(12 Apr 2014) A Colombian fashion designer who specialises in bullet-proof clothing for people in conflict areas, revealed his latest collection in Mexico City on Friday.  Known as the \'Armani of bullet-proof clothing\', Miguel Caballero aims to design clothes that protect a person\'s vital organs from tasers, revolvers and even AK-47s.  Juan Carlos Munoz, Miguel Caballero\'s clothing line director, said Mexico was a highly important world market and accounted for 35 percent of the Colombian clothing line\'s exports. Caballero conceived the idea for the niche clothing brand while at school where he met the daughter of a Colombian politician who was always wearing an uncomfortable bullet-proof vest.  Since graduating, he has created a thriving business, creating clothes that absorb the force of a bullet, but is also light and comfortable to wear.
